Thai Credit Bank Advances Financial Literacy for Modern OTOP Entrepreneurs in Rayong Province, Strengthening Sustainable Community Economies
Thai Credit Bank continues to implement its "Bank for Sustainability" strategy in collaboration with Rayong Province and the Rayong Provincial Community Development Office. The initiative aims to enhance the capacity of OTOP entrepreneurs through the training program “Tang To Know-how: Unlocking Local Business Potential – Empowering OTOP Entrepreneurs for Success.” The program focuses on building knowledge in financial literacy, business management, and responsible access to funding, ultimately aiming to strengthen and sustainably grow the local economy.
The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Slariewan Thaptavee, Deputy Governor of Rayong Province, who presided over the opening ceremony. Also in attendance were Ms. Jeerapa Boonchaiyo, Director of the Community Development Promotion Division, and Ms. Khemruthai Asavanon, Senior Director of the Micro Economic Development Department at Thai Credit Bank. The training took place on May 20, 2025, at Golden City Hotel, Rayong.
This hands-on workshop was designed to deepen participants’ understanding of community business development, financial management, investment planning, and business adaptation to rapidly changing environments—factors that increasingly influence consumer behavior. The program also covered marketing strategies aligned with modern technologies, helping participants enhance their competitiveness and add value to their products in line with market demand. More than 100 OTOP entrepreneurs from Rayong Province participated in the training.
Additionally, the bank introduced its “OTOP Entrepreneur Loan”, a financial product tailored specifically to meet the needs of local entrepreneurs. This loan aims to provide responsible access to funding, improve liquidity, and enable efficient financial and business expansion management.
This collaboration between Rayong Province, the Rayong Provincial Community Development Office, and Thai Credit Bank represents more than just a training session—it is an integrated effort among the government, financial institutions, and local businesses to lay the foundation for a stable and sustainable economic system. It reflects the bank’s philosophy under the concept “Everyone Matters”, which emphasizes inclusive and equitable access to financial services for all.
